Do you get 6 to 8 hours sleep daily? Do you sleep around the same time every night? Do you wake up at the same time every morning? If you answer these questions in “NO”, then you are deprived of sleep hygiene. If you feel tired all the time, the reason can be anything from lifestyle changes to an underlying health condition that requires treatment.

These are a few
- Stress:
Stress is the major contributor of sleeplessness. All the doctors are advised to understand the personal life of a person along with conducting blood tests and other diagnostic procedures. Its important that the person takes time out for themselves apart from work and other family activities. This may include going to the nearby park, watching a movie, mediating or doing something you feel pleasure in.
- Diet Changes:
You are what you eat, so be careful before popping up anything in your mouth. It’s recommended that rather than taking three BIG meals, cut them down to 5 or 6 short ones. But make sure that these short meals are healthy. Taking an apple or peanut butter sandwich are some short and healthy meal examples. Also make sure that whatever you’re eating is healthy and balanced and you’re providing the desired proteins and vitamins to your body daily.
- Regular Exercise
A daily workout routine helps you to increase your energy levels and makes you refreshed. Your body is designed for movement, and this movement helps the heart to work more effectively and controls the blood pressure and oxygen level in your blood. Exercise also increases your blood circulation and strengthens you muscles which help you to sleep better.
- Alcohol and Caffeine
Cutting out Alcohol and caffeine intake from your lifestyle is something extremely healthy. Why? Because alcohol and caffeine disturbs your sleep and even if you manage to get the sleep, it’s not so deep and relaxing. Many people use alcohol as a sleeping aid which really doesn’t work that way if you observe closely.
- Medical Conditions
Many injuries and diseases cause discomfort in sleeping. Conditions like back pains, muscle strain, anemia, hypoglycemia, hormonal imbalance, low testosterone levels, and menopause in women may be an obstacle in sleeping properly. If you are suffering from any medical condition, consult your physician immediately.
